Members of the same body - my two cents

As Christians, we are all members of the same body; the body of Christ.

Unfortunately, these days there seems to be an over abundance of mouths and a severe shortage of hands and hearts.

Today, I'm thinking about David.

Meek and small, he was probably able to run faster than anyone in God's army and yet... when push came to shove, while the other soldiers were shuddering, shaking, and melting in their army, David did not run. He stood his ground.

He picked up the most insignificant of weapons.. probably because it was the closest thing to him.. and he spoke words of POWER.. He told Goliath and his chortling cohorts that he was coming against his humongous self in the mighty Name of Jesus... the KING of KINGS!!!

He didn't stutter.. He didn't shudder... He didn't shake.. He didn't quake.. and he didn't run. He put a rock in his slingshot, declared to his enemy that he was going to go about God's business, and he swung that slingshot and nailed the giant square between the eyes.

He was small in stature... but he had faith MUCH bigger than Goliath!!!

My prayer is that we could all be like David and stand up in faith... knowing that NO man can hurt us as long as we're under the shadow of the wings of the Almighty.
